Forget-me-not

When we moved here, I cannot remember there were any forget-me-not plants in the garden. Actually, where they mostly grow now, there was nothing but lawn. I added a longish border by the hedge (never again a border right next to the tallest hedge of hawthorn, yew and ivy, mind you, it makes the garden quite cosy which I love) But back to forget-me-nots. I didn’t plant a single plant and here they are, turning the garden blue in April and May.

This Easter, I wasn’t too well so all plans changed and spent most of Easter in bed. But occasionally picked up the camera when out taking in some much needed fresh air. It’s all go in the garden, narcissi are still around, then tulips, when one is over, another one starts to bloom, the crab apple has burst into flowers over Easter, and the hawthrown in the hedge is about to put on a spectacular show. And the ground is all blue. And forget-me-nots here really grow everywhere. I thought I’d show you where. With sorrel, rhubarb, rocket, Eurybia divaricata, lunaria, aquilegia, geranium, in pots with narcissi and just in pots, especially positioned by the front step so that the seeds would scatter later on.

Because I’ll be asked. All pictures taken with a 50mm f1.2 Canon lens.
